Deleting extra SMTP Servers (Mac)
There is a common problem experienced when using Macintosh Mail on Macintosh OS X Jaguar (10.2).
This issue covers the program "Mail" for OS X Jaguar (10.2).
You may find odd characters such as semicolons added to your mail server settings.
This is typically caused by the extra SMTP server settings in the "Outgoing Mail Server" pull-down.
To remove the extra SMTP servers, open the Macintosh Hard Drive.

The following "Macintosh HD" windows opens.
Open the Library folder.

The following "Library" window appears.
Open the Scripts folder.

The following "Scripts" window appears.
Open the Mail Scripts folder.

The following "Mail Scripts" window appears.
Open the Manage SMTP Servers.scpt script.

The following script manager opens.
Click the Run button to list all SMTP Servers not in use.

After clicking the Run button, a new window lists all SMTP servers not in use.
Select all of the servers by holding down the Shift key while clicking with your mouse.
Once all the servers are highlighted, click OK.

The following screen appears to let you know the servers have been deleted.
Click OK.

A result window appears. Close this window.
Also, close the "Manage SMTP Servers.scpt" window.

Now when you return to the Mail settings, the extra Outgoing Mail Servers are gone.
