About Static IP Addresses
If your Clearwire service plan comes with one or more static IP addresses (or you purchased static IP addresses along with your plan) a Static IP Address Control Panel will appear on the main BROADBAND page.
A "static IP address" is an address that is permanently assigned to your computer or router every time you connect to the Internet. You need a static IP address if you plan to use remote management software like PC Anywhere, Remote Management, Terminal Server or If you are going to setup a mail or FTP server. Some VPN connections require a static IP.
Note: Clearwire does not allow web hosting inside the network. Port 80 is blocked and will not be opened for static IP addresses.
